You can use the following to fill only four blocks on the HCC membership card. For each event you must submit proof of participation/purchase prior to obtaining officers initial. Proof of participation can be in the form of your registration papers. The block will not be initialed if you cannot provide the necessary papers. Each event can count for only one block.
1. Purchase of a Full Sugoi Team Kit. This can be a combination of a Jersey and shorts or Jersey and bib shorts. (No Blocks)
2. Be a B group ride leader and/or designated ride sweeper on the group ride for a total of 5 weeks. (ex. Saturday group ride)
3. Participate in one Charity event ride. (ex. MS-150, Surry Century) Min of 50 miles
4. Participate in at least one Va Cycling Time Trial. (ex. Dismal Dash, Conquer the Canal, Wintergreen Ascent, Smithfield Hammerfest team time trial or one of the PLT time trials)
5. Participate in two Hilton Cycling club events or Bicycle clinics. (You must participate in two events to get one block initialed).
For the remaining six blocks on the card to be initialed, same rules apply as stated above.
1. Participation and completion of any two VA Cycling Races. CAT 5 men and Cat 4 women only have to complete one race. All others you must start and complete race in its entirety. Proof of race must be shown.
2. Complete one triathlon or duathlon.
3. Be a B or C group ride leader and/or designated ride sweeper on the group ride for a total of 5 weeks. (ex. Saturday group ride)
4. Mentor a beginner rider for the cycling season. That beginner rider must participate in a Va cycling race, triathlon, duathlon, or a charity ride event. The mentor must be present at the event and provide proof both mentor and mentee participated in the event. (One block for each rider, maximum mentors or mentees for a rider is two).
5. Participate in one Charity event ride. (ex. MS-150, Surry Century)
6. Participate in two Hilton Cycling club events or Bicycle clinics. (You must participate in two events to get one block initialed).
7. Participate in a mountain biking event that has been pre-approved by an officer of the club.
